About Our Organization
Kits4Kids is a student led organization that focuses on engineering education. By utilizing 3D printer, cadding softwares, and other engineering equipment, the club aims to make kits that are tailored for specific types of engineering.
Mission & Vision
Understanding the difficulty of approaching the pre-professional world of engineering and its various complexities as it relates to equipment and knowledge building, it is the hope of Kits 4 Kids to focus on the main idea of youth accessibility. Our ultimate goal is to create a vast network of critical thinkers and innovators that foster creativity.
Our Process
The process begins with brainstorming and developing kits that teach fundamental engineering concepts through engaging, easy-to-follow activities. Volunteers then assemble and test these kits, making sure they are safe, educational, and accessible. Once ready, the kits are donated to schools, community centers, and students who lack access to engineering resources. In addition to distribution, Kits4Kids also hosts workshops where volunteers mentor and guide children through the activities, fostering curiosity and problem-solving skills. By making engineering accessible and enjoyable, the program not only inspires young minds but also provides volunteers with valuable hands-on experience in both engineering and teaching, creating a cycle of learning and mentorship.
